A few days ago I've watch an old movie, The Great Race with Tony curtis and Jack Lemmon (I love that kind of old movie) and one of its scene (the fight in the saloon) reminded me Fairy Tail when all the guild members fight. Not only the fight, but also the saloon aspect reminds me Fairy Tail. When I saw this I couldn't help but wonder if Mashima hadn't seen it too and had been inspired by it.
